What is it? Why do we do it? Do I need a small business consultant? These questions are good ones - and the answers may surprise you, in that they are simple. In 2007, there were 27.2 million businesses in the United States, according to Office of Advocacy estimates. Census data show that there were 6.0 million firms with employees and 20.4 million without employees in 2005. Small firms with fewer than 500 employees represent 99.9 % of the 27.2 million businesses (including both employers and nonemployers), as the most recent data show there were slightly more than 17,000 large businesses in 2005. While all the talk is about the subdued economic times, it is difficult in any economy the REALLY succeed in business. There are so many factors both known and unknown, that effect your business everyday. Simply put we help minimize the effect of these negative factors, and maximize the effect of the positive ones.
